We spend time with the car, looking at it from every angle and touching the paint surfaces to detect prior paint and body work. We inspect the undercarriage and engine compartment for rust and corrosion. We sit in the car and smell the interior. We make sure all the electronic systems are operating. Finally we run a vehicle history report to check for hidden problems like odometer fraud. In other words, we buy the car as though we are buying it for ourselves...and we're very picky!!
